1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using MentorSheep, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the platform.
2. Platform Description
MentorSheep is a verified mentorship marketplace across eleven disciplines: Study Abroad, Exam Prep, Tech & Engineering, Finance, Academics, Language Learning, Music & Arts, Creators & Branding, Founders & Startups, Law, and Medicine & Healthcare. Mentors offer paid 1:1 video sessions and, where enabled, other paid formats such as priority calls, group calls and paid questions. Every mentor is manually verified with discipline-appropriate evidence before going live. All payments on the platform are collected and settled in Indian Rupees (INR); any other currency shown anywhere is a display convenience only.
3. Medicine & Healthcare: Scope of Mentorship
MentorSheep provides career, education and exam mentorship only. Sessions in the Medicine & Healthcare discipline are not medical care. Mentors do not provide diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment, emergency support or patient-specific medical advice. Mentors speak from their personal professional experience and are not acting as your physician; no doctor-patient relationship is created through the platform. For medical care, consult a doctor in person. If you are in an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
4. User Conduct
Users must:
- Provide accurate and truthful information on their profiles.
- Maintain professional and respectful conduct during all mentoring sessions.
- Not use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Keep contact and payment details on MentorSheep. Sharing or requesting phone numbers, email addresses or off-platform payment details in order to arrange sessions outside the platform may lead to suspension or permanent removal, and to any pending mentor payout being frozen pending review.
5. Mentor Verification
All mentors must pass a verification review before their profile goes live. Verification is discipline-specific: we check evidence such as a licence, professional registration, residency, exam score, degree, enrolment or institutional role, as appropriate to the discipline. The verified badge reflects that review at the time it was performed; it is not an ongoing guarantee of a mentor's current registration, employment or status. We reserve the right to approve or reject any mentor application at our sole discretion to maintain the quality of our community.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MentorSheep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform or interactions between students and mentors.
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Platform fees and the mentor revenue split may be revised; changes are announced in advance and never apply retroactively to sessions already completed.
